The International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS) Bharat – Raipur Chapter, in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, successfully organised an event focused on global cultural studies, featuring expert talks, academic discussions and the formal launch of the International Journal of World’s Ancient Traditional and Cultural Heritage (IJWATCH).

The programme commenced with introductory remarks by Shri Ashish Patel, Secretary, ICCS Raipur Chapter, who outlined the vision, activities and global engagements of the organisation.

Dr. Nirmala Tiwari, Independent Researcher, delivered the first expert address, sharing insights from her recent study visit to Vietnam. She highlighted the country’s inclusive multicultural environment and its relevance for comparative cultural research.

This was followed by a presentation by Ms. Kirti Nahak, Research Scholar, Department of Information Technology, National Institute of Technology Raipur, who spoke on Gond Resistance and Cultural Perspectives in Chhattisgarh. She underlined the interrelationship between environmental conservation and cultural identity, particularly among Indigenous communities.

Prof. Preethi K. Suresh, Vice President, ICCS Raipur Chapter and Professor at the Institute of Pharmacy, Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, addressed the gathering, emphasising the need for sustained scholarly engagement with traditional knowledge systems.

Chief Guest Prof. Samir Bajpai, Director (In-Charge), National Institute of Technology Raipur, lauded the initiative for promoting academic collaboration, strengthening interdisciplinary research and encouraging deeper exploration of cultural studies at the global level.

A key highlight of the event was the formal launch of the International Journal of World’s Ancient Traditional and Cultural Heritage (IJWATCH), marking a significant step towards advancing research, critical dialogue and collaborative scholarly contributions in traditional and Indigenous knowledge systems.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Anoop Kumar Tiwari, Dr. Vikas Kumar Vidyarthi and Dr. Kshiroda Kumar Sahoo of National Institute of Technology Raipur. The event saw participation from faculty members of various institutions and universities, research scholars from the Humanities and Social Sciences discipline and other departments, as well as undergraduate students from National Institute of Technology Raipur and other universities.

अंतरराष्ट्रीय सांस्कृतिक अध्ययन केंद्र  भारत–रायपुर चैप्टर एवं एनआईटी रायपुर द्वारा विश्व की प्राचीन पारंपरिक एवं सांस्कृतिक धरोहर पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय शोध पत्रिका का लोकार्पण

अंतरराष्ट्रीय सांस्कृतिक अध्ययन केंद्र  (आईसीसीएस) भारत–रायपुर चैप्टर तथा नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी (एनआईटी) रायपुर के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आज एक महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें विशेषज्ञ व्याख्यान, शैक्षणिक संवाद तथा इंटरनेशनल जर्नल ऑफ वर्ल्ड्स एंसिएंट ट्रेडिशनल ऐंड कल्चरल हेरिटेज (IJWATCH) का औपचारिक लोकार्पण किया गया।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत आईसीसीएस रायपुर चैप्टर के सचिव श्री अशिष पटेल के स्वागत उद्बोधन से हुई, जिसमें उन्होंने संगठन की गतिविधियों तथा सांस्कृतिक अध्ययनों में उसके योगदान का विस्तृत परिचय प्रस्तुत किया।

स्वतंत्र शोधकर्ता डॉ. निर्मला तिवारी ने प्रथम विशेषज्ञ व्याख्यान देते हुए वियतनाम के बहुसांस्कृतिक और स्वागतपूर्ण सामाजिक वातावरण पर अपने अध्ययन एवं अनुभव साझा किए। उन्होंने अपने शोध यात्रा के आधार पर वियतनाम की सांस्कृतिक विविधता और भारत के लिए उसकी उपयोगिता पर प्रकाश डाला।

इसके पश्चात् नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी रायपुर के सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग की शोधार्थी सुश्री कीर्ति नाहक ने गोंड प्रतिरोध तथा छत्तीसगढ़ के सांस्कृतिक परिप्रेक्ष्य विषय पर प्रस्तुति दी। उन्होंने स्वदेशी समुदायों में पर्यावरणीय संरक्षण और सांस्कृतिक पहचान के परस्पर संबंधों को रेखांकित किया।

पंडित रविशंकर शुक्ल विश्वविद्यालय के फ़ार्मेसी संस्थान की प्रोफ़ेसर तथा आईसीसीएस रायपुर चैप्टर की उपाध्यक्ष प्रो. प्रीति के. सुरेश ने अपने उद्बोधन में पारंपरिक ज्ञान प्रणालियों पर अधिक गहन शोध और वैश्विक संवाद की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।

मुख्य अतिथि प्रो. समीर बाजपई, निदेशक (प्रभारी), नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी रायपुर ने कार्यक्रम की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह पहल सांस्कृतिक अध्ययन के क्षेत्र में शैक्षणिक सहयोग, अनुसंधान विस्तार और भावी नेतृत्व निर्माण को प्रोत्साहित करती है।

कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण संगठन की अंतरराष्ट्रीय शोध पत्रिका इंटरनेशनल जर्नल ऑफ वर्ल्ड्स एंसिएंट ट्रेडिशनल ऐंड कल्चरल हेरिटेज (IJWATCH) का लोकार्पण रहा, जो पारंपरिक एवं स्वदेशी सांस्कृतिक अध्ययनों में शोध, विमर्श और सहयोग को नया आयाम प्रदान करेगा।

कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. अनुप कुमार तिवारी, डॉ. विकास कुमार विद्यर्थी तथा डॉ. क्षिरोदा कुमार साहू (एनआईटी रायपुर) द्वारा किया गया। कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न संस्थानों एवं विश्वविद्यालयों के प्राध्यापकों, मानविकी एवं सामाजिक विज्ञान तथा अन्य विभागों के शोधार्थियों, तथा नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी रायपुर एवं अन्य विश्वविद्यालयों के स्नातक विद्यार्थियों ने सहभागिता कीl
