As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Contract and Budgeting Department (CBD) of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), in collaboration with the Vigilance Department, organised an interactive Contractors’ Meet focusing on service contracts. The event was held at the Chief General Manager In-charge (Material & Utilities) Conference Hall and brought together contractors and plant officials to promote ethical practices and transparency in contractual dealings.

The session commenced with all participants taking the Integrity Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold honesty and ethical governance in all operations. Addressing the gathering, Shri Sunil Singal, Chief General Manager (Vigilance) and Additional Chief Vigilance Officer, outlined the new initiatives undertaken by the Vigilance Department to strengthen ethical practices at the workplace. He emphasized the proactive involvement of contract workers in vigilance activities as a crucial step to broaden awareness and foster a culture of accountability across all organizational levels.

The CBD team presented an informative session highlighting key aspects of vigilance perspectives in contract management, critical checks on supporting documents submitted with tenders, and an overview of the implementation of IS/ISO 37001:2016 certified Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) at Bhilai Steel Plant. The interactive session encouraged active participation from the contractor community, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting transparency and ethical conduct.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Shri Himanshu Dave, Assistant General Manager (Vigilance), commending all participants for their active engagement in strengthening vigilance awareness and integrity at the plant.
