Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various government organizations at the 20th Rozgar Mela today via video conferencing. Addressing on the occasion, he emphasized that this milestone brings immense joy to thousands of families, serving as a tribute to both the personal hard work of the candidates and the immense sacrifices made by their parents. "I wish you all the very best for this new beginning in life,” remarked Shri Modi.
Welcoming the new appointees into the Government of India as the nation marches toward the monumental milestone of a developed nation by 2047, the Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role of youth in continuously empowering the twin campaigns of a developed and self-reliant India through every administrative decision. He highlighted their special responsibility toward fellow youth, noting that the talent and skills of the younger generation have captured the world's trust, fueling immense global expectations from Indian innovators, entrepreneurs, and youth power."The world has high hopes from our innovators, our entrepreneurs, and our youth power,” asserted Shri Modi.
Reflecting on the recently concluded BRICS Summit, the Prime Minister stated that the administration’s strategy is to expand international cooperation far beyond traditional government-to-government interactions. He explained that initiatives like BRICS CONNECT and the BRICS MSME Cooperation Portal are designed to integrate entrepreneurs, farmers, women, and the youth directly into global partnerships. "Everyone should become an active participant in this partnership,” noted Shri Modi.
Highlighting the economic diplomacy of the past few years, the Prime Minister pointed out that Free Trade Agreements with approximately 40 countries are unlocking unprecedented career possibilities. He emphasized that these agreements forge new markets and dynamic partnerships for domestic entrepreneurs while expanding career horizons for the youth. "These Free Trade Agreements are creating new doors of possibilities for our youth,” affirmed Shri Modi.
Detailing the government's sustained focus on future-ready skilling, the Prime Minister listed transformative initiatives such as the National Education Policy, the Skill India Mission, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, and efforts to promote apprenticeships. He highlighted the PM-SETU scheme, which is modernizing one thousand government ITIs with an investment of 60,000 crore rupees alongside direct industry participation. "Our endeavor is that the education and skills of the youth keep pace with the needs of the changing economy,” asserted Shri Modi.
