Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur), a leading institution known for building business owners, has partnered with the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Together, they have launched a comprehensive Business Accelerator Program for SC/ST entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small business owners in Chhattisgarh, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and support essential for scaling their ventures. Designed to help participants move beyond survival and achieve sustainable, scalable growth, the program follows a blended learning model that combines immersive on-campus sessions at IIM Raipur with engaging live online classes. It also offers 72 hours of structured instruction and 18 hours of dedicated mentoring by IIM Raipur faculty, industry leaders, and seasoned practitioners, ensuring a transformative and growth-driven learning experience for every participant.
The accelerator program is built to help participants sharpen their business models, identify high-potential markets, strengthen financial decision-making, and leverage digital tools for operational efficiency. Through concept sessions, case discussions rooted in MSME realities, hands-on exercises, and one-on-one mentoring clinics, entrepreneurs will work directly on their business challenges and develop clear 90–180 day action roadmaps.
This program also provides participants with opportunities to explore new markets, understand government procurement processes, and build valuable networks with peers, mentors, and ecosystem partners who can support their entrepreneurial journey.

Many of these enterprises possess tremendous potential but often lack access to formal management training, strategic guidance, and networks that can accelerate their growth. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the National SC-ST Hub, brings together academic rigour, practical insights, and personalised mentoring to equip participants with the capabilities needed to compete in today’s evolving market landscape. We believe that empowering SC/ST entrepreneurs is not only essential for inclusive economic development but also critical for building a more innovative, resilient, and diverse MSME ecosystem in the country.”
Eligible applicants must be graduates aged 18 or above, with a preference extended to women participants. However, Applicants with "TRADING" as a major activity in Udyam Registration are not eligible. The total program fee of ₹99,000 plus GST is fully sponsored under the NSSH scheme, and participants are required to pay only a registration fee of ₹7,500, inclusive of GST, making it a highly accessible opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking structured support to grow their enterprises.
Applications for the Business Accelerator Program are open until December 15, 2025, with the program set to begin on January 17, 2026. This initiative underscores the institute’s commitment to inclusive development and supports the Government of India’s mission to enhance SC/ST entrepreneurs’ participation in the nation’s MSME ecosystem.
Additionally, IIM Raipur hosted the annual DGP–IGP Conference from November 28 to 30, 2025, further reinforcing its role as a key venue for national-level deliberations. The conference was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and NSA Ajit Doval. The selection of the Nava Raipur campus for this high-level meeting underscores both Chhattisgarh’s strategic importance and IIM Raipur’s growing contribution to national capacity-building efforts.
