Asal Baat news.
Indian Institute of Management Raipur will host its first International Case Conference (ICC 2026) on 30–31 January 2026 at its Naya Raipur campus, bringing together case writers, researchers, industry leaders and policymakers for two days of rich conversations on contemporary business practices and case-based learning. With the last date for the case submission approaching, IIM Raipur invites academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students to submit original teaching cases for the International Case Conference- ICC 2026. The last date to submit entries is 31st December 2025.
With increasing interest in practice-based learning, IIM Raipur aims to invite fresh case contributions that present realistic business challenges, contemporary policy shifts, emerging technologies, and changing dimensions of Indian and global markets. The Institute's Case House (CHIRP), established two years ago, was aimed at fostering India-centric, practice-driven case development, and this call aspires to expand that momentum with a diverse pool of high-quality submissions.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Virginia Bodolica, a distinguished management scholar and Head of Management at the American University of Sharjah, with notable academic associations including HEC Montréal. Her global experience and work with students and executives are expected to offer participants sharp, practice-oriented insights into contemporary business challenges.
Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur and Chief Patron of ICC 2026, commented on the significance of case-based teaching: “Good cases emerge from lived experiences. They bring the boardroom, the factory floor, and the marketplace into the classroom. As the submission deadline approaches, we invite educators, researchers, and businesspeople to share the stories of dilemmas and decisions that will shape the next generation of managers. ICC 2026 is an opportunity for all of us to enrich the teaching ecosystem with real, relevant, and practice-grounded narratives."
The submitted cases may relate to broad themes, including but not limited to contemporary business practices, the impact of government policies in India, the integration of AI into management pedagogy, sustainability, entrepreneurship, governance, finance, and the globalisation of Indian business strategies. Academic experts will then review the submissions for selection and presentations at ICC 2026.
Besides, contributors stand to compete for the Best-Case Awards and publication opportunities with the special issue of Emerging Markets Case Studies (EMCS), Emerald Publishing. There is also a Mini-Case Competition that gives an opportunity to MBA/PGP students to present their analytical and storytelling capabilities, with the shortlisted entries invited for presentation at IIM Raipur.
The conference is supported by an esteemed group of partners who share IIM Raipur’s commitment to advancing management education. The Government of Chhattisgarh (CMDC) and Punjab National Bank have joined as key sponsors, reflecting strong institutional trust in the conference’s objectives, while Emerald Publishing and ServiceSetu Academics will help amplify high-quality case outputs from the event.
IIM Raipur has continued to emphasize case-method teaching, reflecting their greater vision of "Building Business Owners", developing leaders who think critically, act responsibly, and understand the layered complexities of real business environments. Those willing to send in their cases should complete their entries before 31st December 2025. Detailed submission guidelines and conference information may be found on the IIM Raipur website.
