Christian College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Bhilai, organized a Pre-Christmas and New Year Celebration on 22nd Dec 2025 at the B-Block Auditorium under the aegis of the Staff Club, with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The programme began with a warm welcome of the dignitaries which was addressed by the Principal, Dr. Jeetendra Tiwari, who emphasized the importance of discipline, gratitude, and excellence in academic and personal life, encouraging everyone to imbibe these values in their day-to-day conduct.
The highlight of the programme was the Christmas message delivered by the Executive Vice-Chairman, Rev. Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese, who beautifully explained that Christmas is not merely a festival but a way of life that inspires love, humility, compassion, and selfless service. He urged the gathering to become messengers of peace and hope, spreading joy and goodwill within the campus and in society at large. The celebration was further enriched by a Bible reading by Ms. Lincy Mendoza, melodious carol songs presented by CCET staff and students, and a thought-provoking skit performed by students, conveying strong moral and social values. Various fun-filled games and interactive activities were also organized, adding vibrancy and cheer to the celebration and enhancing the festive spirit among the participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by Christmas cake distribution to all. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Mrs. Payal Roy and Dr. Pushpita Dasgupta, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and graceful conduct of the celebration, leaving a lasting impression of unity, harmony, and festive togetherness among the CCET family.
