The Indian Institute of Management Raipur invites applications for its two-year MBA in Public Policy and Governance under the esteemed Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF) offered by the Government of Chhattisgarh. This distinctive programme is designed to nurture future leaders in public policy and governance by equipping them with managerial expertise, analytical capabilities, and practical exposure to public policy and governance on the ground
The programme is led by Prof. Gopal Kumar and Prof. Shabna P, Professors at IIM Raipur, who serve as the Programme Directors. Classes will be conducted at the IIM Raipur campus, complemented by immersive training and field exposure facilitated by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
This blended approach ensures that participants gain both theoretical grounding and practical governance experience As part of this distinguished fellowship, the State Government will sponsor the entire tuition fee of all selected candidates. Notably, each enrolled student will receive a generous stipend of ₹50,000 per month for the full duration of the programme. This substantial financial support reflects the Government’s strong commitment to nurturing capable public leaders and ensuring that talented graduates can pursue advanced education in governance without financial burden.
Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur, highlighted that the programme goes beyond traditional classroom learning and focuses on understanding how policies are shaped, implemented, and improved in real-world settings. The programme emphasizes practical exposure, analytical thinking, and societal impact to develop responsible leaders for governance and nation-building.
Prof. Satyasiba Das, IIM Raipur, emphasized the importance of strong collaborations in enhancing learning outcomes. He noted that partnerships with government bodies, industry, and institutions provide students with real-world exposure beyond the classroom. These collaborations bridge the gap between theory and practice, enabling students to confidently tackle real challenges while fostering growth, impact, and lifelong engagement.
