सेल के निदेशक (कार्मिक) श्री कृष्ण कुमार सिंह ने 02 अप्रैल, 2026 को स्टील अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (सेल) के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक का अतिरिक्त प्रभार ग्रहण किया है। उल्लेखनीय है कि श्री सिंह के करियर की शुरुआत भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र से हुई थी.श्री सिंह का सेल) का अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक बनना भिलाई के लिए गौरव के रुप में भी दर्ज किया जाएगा.

श्री सिंह प्रचालन (Operations), मानव संसाधन विकास (HRD), सतर्कता (Vigilance) और कार्मिक एवं प्रशासन (P&A) जैसे विविध क्षेत्रों में लगभग चार दशकों के गहन अनुभव के साथ  सेल की विकास गाथा में एक महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहे हैं। 

उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत 1987 में भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र में एक प्रबंधन प्रशिक्षु (Management Trainee) के रूप में की थी, जहाँ उन्होंने मानव संसाधन विकास विभाग में जाने से पहले 'ब्लूमिंग एंड बिलेट मिल' में एक दशक से अधिक समय तक अपना योगदान दिया। उन्होंने कार्मिक और प्रशासन (Personnel & Administration) विभाग के कार्यकारी निदेशक (प्रभारी) सहित कई लीडरशिप पदों पर कार्य किया है। उन्हें 2022 में निदेशक (कार्मिक) नियुक्त किया गया, जो उनके गहरे डोमेन ज्ञान और मजबूत नेतृत्व कौशल को दर्शाता है।

निदेशक (कार्मिक) के रूप में अपने वर्तमान रोल में, श्री सिंह ने सेल के मानव संसाधन के कायाकल्प का नेतृत्व किया है। उन्होंने कार्यबल को भविष्य के लिए तैयार करने हेतु प्रोग्रेसिव कार्मिक कल्याण और विकास योजनाओं की शुरुआत की है। उनका नेतृत्व सेल की 'जन-केंद्रित' (People-centric) प्रगति को मजबूत कर रहा है और अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में वे संगठन को निरंतर उत्कृष्टता और नवाचार की ओर अग्रसर कर रहे हैं। 

Shri K.K. Singh assumes additional charge as CMD, SAIL

Shri Krishna Kumar Singh, Director (Personnel), has assumed the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) on 02nd April, 2026.

With close to four decades of extensive experience across diverse functions including steel plant operations & maintenance, human resource development, vigilance, and personnel & administration - Shri Singh has been a key contributor to SAIL’s growth story. He began his career in 1987 as a Management Trainee at Bhilai Steel Plant, where he spent over a decade in the Blooming & Billet Mill before transitioning to HRD. Rising steadily through the ranks, he has held several leadership positions, including Executive Director (In-Charge) Personnel & Administration and was appointed Director (Personnel) in 2022, reflecting his deep domain expertise and strong leadership credentials.

 

In his current capacity as Director (Personnel), Shri Singh has spearheaded the transformation of SAIL’s human resources, introducing progressive employee welfare and development schemes to make the workforce future-ready. His leadership continues to strengthen SAIL’s people-centric growth while guiding the organization as CMD towards greater excellence and innovation.
