The National Institute of Technology Raipur concluded Eclectika 2026, its flagship annual cultural festival, with a vibrant finale that blended music, theatre and traditional celebrations, reflecting the creativity, talent and social consciousness of students.

Organised by the institute’s Cultural Committee, the third and final day witnessed enthusiastic participation and high-energy performances. The spotlight was on “Avirbhav,” the musical band competition, where teams delivered electrifying renditions of Hindi and English songs, creating an atmosphere charged with rhythm and youthful exuberance. TAAZGI Band from Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagarh, secured the first position, while ALOKIK Band from ITM University claimed second place.

The festival then shifted to “Goonj,” the street play (Nukkad Natak) competition, which brought pressing social issues to centre stage. The Rajbhasha Committee of the National Institute of Technology Raipur and a team from Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, participated in the contest. The Rajbhasha Committee’s performance delivered a compelling critique of social, political and environmental challenges, highlighting concerns such as examination paper leaks, corruption and environmental degradation. Their presentation, titled “Tamasha,” urged citizens to move beyond passive spectatorship and actively engage in shaping change. The Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, team earned appreciation for its impactful acting and strong dialogue delivery. The National Institute of Technology Raipur secured the first position, followed by Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg.

The much-anticipated “Cult Night” added colour and grandeur to the concluding celebrations, as students and faculty gathered in traditional attire, symbolising unity and cultural diversity. The evening featured a series of performances, with energetic dance acts emerging as a major highlight. The campus resonated with applause, joy and a shared sense of cultural pride.

With this, Eclectika 2026 drew to a successful close after three days of festivities marked by enthusiasm, artistic excellence and active student engagement. The festival once again provided a dynamic platform for young minds to showcase their creativity while reinforcing the spirit of unity, culture and celebration at the National Institute of Technology Raipur.
