स्वामी विवेकानंद जी की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में भिलाई के सेक्टर–10 में एक विशेष उपहार क्षेत्रवासियों को मिला। भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र (BSP) के कार्यपालक निदेशक (मानव संसाधन) श्री पवन कुमार ने सेरेब्रल पाल्सी, मस्कुलर डिस्ट्रॉफी और ऑटिज़्म जैसी चुनौतियों से जूझ रहे बच्चों के लिए ‘निःशुल्क फिजियोथेरेपी केन्द्र’ का औपचारिक उद्घाटन किया। सेक्टर-10 स्थित मेंटेनेंस ऑफिस परिसर में शुरू हुआ यह केंद्र पूर्णतः विशेष आवश्यकता वाले बच्चों के उपचार और पुनर्वास के लिए समर्पित है।

यह परियोजना भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र के कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (CSR) का हिस्सा है, जिसका संचालन ‘सेवा फाउंडेशन’ द्वारा ‘ऑफिसर्स एजुकेशन एंड वेलफेयर ट्रस्ट’ के सहयोग से किया जाएगा। उद्घाटन के दौरान मुख्य अतिथि श्री पवन कुमार ने इस मानवीय प्रयास की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि इन गंभीर बीमारियों से पीड़ित बच्चों और उनके परिवारों की पीड़ा को कम करने की दिशा में यह केंद्र एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगा। उन्होंने इसे समाज के लिए एक प्रेरणादायक कदम बताया।

कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित ऑफिसर्स एसोसियसन के अध्यक्ष श्री नरेंद्र कुमार बंछोर ने विवेकानंद के आदर्शों को सेवा का आधार बताते हुए सभी से इस पुनीत कार्य में सहयोग की अपील की। सेवा फाउंडेशन के अध्यक्ष श्री एस. के. जैन ने संस्थान के सेवा कार्यों का ब्यौरा दिया, वहीं महाप्रबंधक (व्यवसायिक उत्कृष्टता) श्री शिवराजन नायर ने बताया कि यह केंद्र तीन साल की कड़ी मेहनत और सामूहिक सहयोग का परिणाम है। इस केंद्र के खुलने से अब जरूरतमंद बच्चों को विशेषज्ञों की देखरेख में समय पर उपचार मिल सकेगा, जिससे उनके स्वास्थ्य में सुधार की नई उम्मीद जगी है।

Major Initiative by Bhilai Steel Plant, Free Physiotherapy Center Launched in Sector-10 for Children with Special Needs

On the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, the residents of Bhilai received a significant gift. Shri Pawan Kumar, Executive Director (Human Resources) of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), formally inaugurated a ‘Free Physiotherapy Center’ in Sector-10 for children battling challenges such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, and Autism. Located within the Sector-10 Maintenance Office premises, this center is fully dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of children with special needs.

This project is a vital part of Bhilai Steel Plant’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing and will be managed by the ‘Sewa Foundation’ in collaboration with the ‘Officers Education and Welfare Trust.’ During the inauguration, Chief Guest Shri Pawan Kumar lauded the humanitarian effort, stating that the center would prove to be a milestone in alleviating the suffering of children affected by these serious conditions and their families. He described the initiative as an inspiring step for society.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Narendra Kumar Banchoor, President of the Officers Association, cited the ideals of Swami Vivekananda as the foundation of service and urged everyone to support this noble cause. Shri S.K. Jain, President of the Sewa Foundation, detailed the various social service activities of the organization, while Shri Shivarajan Nair, General Manager (Business Excellence), highlighted that the center is the result of three years of persistent hard work and collective cooperation. With the opening of this center, children in need will now have access to timely treatment under expert supervision, sparking new hope for their recovery and well-being.
