The National Institute of Technology Raipur Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NITRRFIE) has achieved a major milestone in its startup journey by successfully hosting the Cohort 4.0 Incubation Program. The event, held on Tuesday, brought together 36 aspiring startups that pitched their innovative business ideas across key sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, Health Technology, E-Commerce, Financial Technology, Education Technology, and Digital Marketing.

Out of the total applicants, 25 participants presented their ideas virtually before the NITRRFIE Incubation Committee. Following a rigorous evaluation process, the committee shortlisted 15 startups for incubation support and an additional 2 for pre-incubation. With this, the total number of startups incubated at NITRRFIE has now surpassed 50, cementing its position as a vital hub for nurturing young innovators and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Samir Bajpai, Board Director, NITRRFIE, said, “The ideas showcased in Cohort 4.0 inject fresh energy into India’s entrepreneurial spirit. Our mission is to transform these high-potential concepts into successful, market-ready ventures.”

Echoing this vision, Dr. Anuj Kumar Shukla, Faculty In-Charge of NITRRFIE, remarked, “We are focused on building a strong support system at every stage of an entrepreneur’s journey. Bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world challenges remains our top priority.”

The success of Cohort 4.0 has been credited to the visionary leadership of Prof. N. V. Ramana Rao, Director of NIT Raipur, and the dedicated efforts of the NITRRFIE team. Officer In-Charge Mr. Pawan Kataria, Chief Executive Officer Ms. Medha Singh, and Incubation Manager Mr. Sunil Dewangan played an instrumental role in creating and sustaining the institution’s startup ecosystem.

The program reaffirmed NITRRFIE’s commitment to cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds while supporting the growth of impactful ventures that contribute to India’s evolving startup landscape.
