4th September 2025.

Indian Institute of Management Raipur is delighted to announce its commendable performance in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, released on 4 September 2025. The institute has built on last year’s momentum, recording growth in multiple areas of teaching, research, and outreach, in line with its commitment to academic excellence and societal impact.

This year, IIM Raipur has shown significant progress in a number of important areas. The number of faculty members has gone up from 58 in 2024 to 63 in 2025. This makes the institute's research and teaching abilities even stronger. The number of students and the strength of the student body have also grown a lot. For example, the number of PG admissions went up from 580 last year to 713 this year. This shows that the student body is more diverse and has more students from different regions. Consultancy work has also increased a lot; the institute did 10 consultancy projects in 2023–24, up from just 4 the year before. This rise is shown in the annual earnings, which went up to ₹2.98 crore, showing that the industry is more involved.

The annual income from management development and executive programs has also been going up a lot, going from ₹24.68 crore last year to ₹26.53 crore this year. This shows that there is a strong and growing need for IIM Raipur's executive training programs. Investment in library resources and academic capital expenditures rose substantially, from ₹2.75 crore in 2024 to ₹7.06 crore in 2025. This is in line with the institute's promise to improve academic assistance and infrastructure. Finally, the institute's dedication to creating knowledge has been confirmed by a big increase in PhD output. There were 11 doctoral graduates in 2023–24, up from just 2 the year before.

Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge of IIM Raipur, said on this occasion, "We are very happy that IIM Raipur is consistent in the NIRF 2025 rankings. The changes show how hard our faculty work, how well our students do, and how hard we work to make a difference. We are seeing results from our investments in academics, more research output, and relationships with businesses. This acknowledgement makes us want to do even more.”

"Our involvement with business and society has reached new heights," stated Prof. Satyasiba Das, Dean of External Relations at IIM Raipur. “Doubling the number of consulting engagements and adding more executive programs shows how useful and relevant our institute is in the real world. We are still dedicated to building great relationships with other businesses and being proactive in leading thought in business and management”, he added.

Looking ahead, IIM Raipur is committed to innovative teaching, impactful research, and broader outreach. The institute continues to expand opportunities for students and faculty, aiming for even greater achievements in the coming year.
