Asal Baat news.  

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, in collaboration with Vikas Tarangini, Chhattisgarh, organized a free health awareness and checkup camp for women today. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and women’s well-being through accessible screenings and awareness drives.

The program was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Health Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh, who attended as Chief Guest. Pujya Sant Dr. Yudhishthir Lal Ji Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar, Shadani Darbar Tirth, presided over the event. Other dignitaries included Shri G. Swamy Ji, Chairman, Andhra Association; Dr. G.D. Ramtekkar, Dean (Planning & Development), and Dr. N.D. Londhe, Registrar, NIT Raipur.

The event commenced with the national song and lamp lighting, followed by welcoming remarks from Dr. Shubha Kosle. Pujya Dr. Yudhishthir Lal Ji commended the organizers for addressing women’s health issues and advocated a return to traditional healthcare values. Dr. Arpita highlighted the rising cases of cervical, breast cancer, and emphasized the need for timely screening and vaccination.

Chief Guest Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal praised the initiative and urged lifestyle changes to prevent diseases. He attributed health risks to modern practices such as artificial menstrual control and declining breastfeeding, and emphasized societal responsibility in combating ailments like sickle cell disease and TB. He also referenced the Prime Minister’s promotion of Yoga as a national health movement.

Dr. Anuj Shukla, Assistant Professor at NIT Raipur, delivered the message of Shri Shri Tridandi Shrimannarayan Ji, stressing the role of women as the pillars of family and society. He also shared that Vikas Tarangini has been offering free healthcare to lakhs of women since 2007. Shri G. Swamy Ji described the event as a service to humanity and a blessing for the state.

Dr. Ramtekkar called for collective support in such initiatives, emphasizing that no mission can succeed without public participation. Shrimati Kanchan Singh described women’s health as a mirror of societal health and urged awareness efforts at all levels. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Dilip Singh Sisodiya, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

A health screening camp followed the ceremony, where numerous women participated, receiving essential checkups and guidance, reinforcing the event’s mission of empowering women through proactive healthcare.
