As part of these celebrations, a Clean-Up Drive and a Hackathon were successfully organized on 3rd June 2025. These events are being held under the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, as part of the national campaign “Mission Life”, initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Clean-Up Drive saw active participation from Director Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao, Registrar Dr. Narendra D. Londhe, Dr. D.C. Jhariya, along with faculty members, staff, and students. Participants enthusiastically cleaned the campus and nearby areas, promoting awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection. On this occasion, the Director administered an oath to all participants to contribute towards a clean and plastic-free environment. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Debashish Mishra, Head of the Mathematics Department.

In addition, a Hackathon competition on the theme “Innovate for a Sustainable Campus” was organized on the same day. Students presented various creative and eco-friendly ideas, such as plastic-free canteens, hostels, and eco-friendly warehouse designs. The event was evaluated by judges Dr. Mridu Sahu, Dr. Naeem Ahmed, Dr. Madhukrishna Priyadarshini, and Dr. Deepika Agarwal. Dr. D.C. Jhariya and Prof. Kabita Biswas Sharma were also present on the occasion. The Hackathon was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Mridu Sahu, Assistant Professor, IT Department.

As part of the ongoing celebrations, activities like a CIPET visit and an expert lecture are scheduled for 4th June 2025, followed by the valedictory program on 5th June 2025, which will include Green Champion felicitation, prize distribution, and an oath-taking ceremony.
